Sp00kfest III
On Friday, October 27, me and 27 other friends had an awesome night at the 3rd annual Sp00kfest @ La Contessa Banquet Hall. The night was hosted by my brother and sister-in-law, as it commemorates the first night they met. As I predicted, everyone came out looking great in costume. Thank you guys for awesome night!

Reading Week BuzzDue to massive request, I put this up ahead of time. Still lots more to come...
Reading week rolled in this February and so did our good old crowd. Nothing flashy this time around but everything to buzz about. It's the mid-term and we're still rollin' in at our favourite Lakeshore Pub. This is Neo-STA, the best way to see your old school buddies. :)

Renna's PadSoon after school had started, Renna and her housemates decided to hold a surprise birthday for one of them. Sad to say, I forgot the name of the birthday girl lol but nonetheless, I still had an enjoyable time. :) As I recall, this event had also marked an absence of presence between Renna and Christine and with slight intoxication, you could say that they were happy to express themselves through song. :P

Life on SpruceImmediately after the wedding had passed, I had to jump back into school mode as my move-in back to Waterloo had come. The beginning of 2nd year meant living off-campus and the start of serious recall of old subjects o_O. But although the tides hit with CS projects, math assignments and tests, none could deny the joy of "home-cooked" meals. It was quite an experience being off and on your own, much different than being in residence. And after the long walk or bike ride from class, you'd unnoticeably develop a sense of home for the place.

The CeremonySeptember 3rd proved to be a glorious day for both the Rosal/Salamanca and Santiago/David families. In my experience, I've had the pleasure to celebrate reunions with family from different parts of the world but never had I experienced a reunion of so many of them under the same roof! When's the last time you've been to a big an event knowing almost the enitre guest list? It's CRAZY o_O. The ReceptionAs was the reception, full of so many activities, performances and surprises including a salsa number which my bro took part in! WHATTTT! Being a part of the Bridal Party as one of Kuya's groomsmen was truly awesome, riding the limobus to my house, to the church, the beer store, to Mississauga City Hall for photos, even to McDonalds after the reception! From morning till, well, the NEXT morning, it was definitely a day that has been etched into my memory forever.

The ReunionWith an event as special as a wedding, this obviously called for a massive family reunion, particularly with my dad's side of the family. Aunts, uncles and cousins from California, Utah and Virginia all made their trek up to Canada. And together with the latter already living in the area, there was much reason to smile, laugh and talk about before Kuya and Ate's big day.

ARMS AppreciationJust days before their September 3rd wedding day, Kuya and Ate handed out gifts of appreciation to the entire bridal party and cast. The gathering at Buffet Garden took place after an important wedding rehearsal at St. Christopher's Parish that Thursday night. After dinner, they expressed their appreciation to everyone with surprise gifts that would remain sentimental to us forever.

A Final WednesdayWith Summer coming to a close and school just around the corner, we bid goodbye to our Manchester Wednesdays in style by dressing for the occassion. Sure, it was over-the-top for a typical bar, but that changed when we deemed the place sacred; a place to revisit the days of our past for occasions today and far ahead.

The DocksThis little photoshoot idea actually revealed itself to me during 12 o'clock mass, the next day after Adrian's Party. I remember the weather being PERFECT that day, and recalled a time when Alex, Heather and I took a stroll down to the docks of Oakville Harbour. So after church, I called Christine, picked her up and this randomly became our first official date. :)

Club MexicoDo you remember when Lei fell off the deck and had no recollection of it? when Kennery collapsed the lawn chair? the out-of-control torch or when "police" came to deliver Adrian his birthday present? If anything, you would remember that this date was not only special to me, but also to everyone, as we celebrated Adrian's birthday and the reunion of STAers alike.

Leids & LawrenceBack in July of 2005, my cousin Leidamae tied the knot with her beloved Bahamian native, Lawrence. The two met in college in Alberta and shortly after they both graduated, made plans to spend their lives together as husband and wife. Leids, then, left us all here to freeze in our Canadian winters, as she now lives with Lawrence back in the Bahamas, working as an elementary school teacher! Now THAT'S the good friggin life...

Back to the ArmsLet's take you back to May of 2005, a set of pictures from Oakville's beloved Manchester Arms, that did not make its way onto the site until NOW. Haha, I apologize to you that had once long anticipated these photos... but now I find it kinda funny to look back a year ago. Cheers. :)

Rest assured... there are MANY more galleries to come. I'm either working on this right now or sleeping.
